panies face isn’t so much
whether to migrate to the cloud, but rather
what type of cloud service to adopt: public
or private?
As Gartner analyst Ken McGee said at the
Gartner Symposium and ITxpo last fall, it’s
time to “eradicate cloudaphobia.” He called
the move to cloud “a migration certainty,”
and recommended that companies pick
three applications that are good candidates
to test drive in the cloud. That sounds like
a good New Year’s resolution for IT as we
embark on 2012.
