JPMorgan Chase still relies heavily on core rela-
tional database technologies for transaction
processing, but it uses hadoop-based products
for a growing number of tasks, said larry Fein-
smith, the company’s managing director of it,
during a keynote talk at the recent hadoop World conference in
New york. Five out of seven JPMorgan Chase business units use
hadoop in some way, he noted.
